Technical Director | Multidisciplinary CG Artist | Creative Technologist
Hybrid artist-engineer working at the intersection of art and technology across animation, games, immersive entertainment, and real-time content creation. Experienced in character workflows and simulation, technical animation, artist-facing tools, production pipelines, and interactive experiences.
Hello! I'm Sahar
I’m a Technical Artist and Technical Director based in Los Angeles, working at the intersection of art and technology across animation, VFX, real-time production, and immersive entertainment.
My work spans production tools, artist-facing workflows, technical animation, character effects and simulation, compositing, and pipeline development. I enjoy collaborating with artists and engineers to solve complex production challenges, improve creative iteration, and build reliable systems that support character, shot, and asset workflows.
With a background in both art and computer science engineering, I bring a multidisciplinary approach to technical problem-solving. I’m especially drawn to work that combines creative storytelling with scalable production technology—whether that means developing tools, supporting characters and shots, improving studio workflows, or helping bring interactive experiences to life.
I bring over six years of experience across The Walt Disney Company. Most recently, I worked as a CG Technical Director at Disney Television Animation, supporting compositing and 3D production workflows involving characters, props, lighting, effects, rendering, and pipeline tools. Previously, as a Character Technical Director at Walt Disney Animation Studios, I focused on cloth and hair simulation, rigging, technical animation, and tool development for feature animation. I began my Disney career at Walt Disney Imagineering, contributing to Audio-Animatronics programming, character performance, and software-driven show systems for immersive themed experiences.
I’m particularly interested in Technical Artist, Technical Director, and pipeline-focused opportunities where I can bridge creative and technical teams, strengthen production workflows, and help artists bring ambitious ideas to life.
Pipeline & Tool Development
I bridge the gap between artists and engineers, developing pipeline tools and production systems that support creative teams at scale. My work focuses on building intuitive, artist-friendly solutions grounded in software engineering principles, practical production needs, and reliable technical design. My interests also extend beyond software to hardware, robotics, real-time technology, and interactive systems.
Animation, VFX & Character Workflows
I support character, shot, and visual effects production across feature animation and television. My background includes compositing, technical animation, rigging, cloth and hair simulation, and technical support for assets, lighting, effects, rendering, and final image development. I’m passionate about helping artists achieve compelling visual storytelling through thoughtful technical solutions and production-ready processes.
