Hello! I'm Sahar
I’m a Technical Director and multidisciplinary CG production artist based in Los Angeles, specializing in building production tools, pipeline systems, and artist-facing workflows for animation and VFX.
My work focuses on developing scalable, production-ready solutions that support character, shot, and asset workflows across feature animation and television pipelines. I enjoy solving technical problems in collaboration with artists and engineers to improve efficiency, reliability, and creative iteration in production environments.
Leveraging a hybrid background in art and computer science engineering, I enjoy working at the intersection of creativity and technology — building tools, solving production challenges, and collaborating across interdisciplinary teams to bring ideas to life. I’m especially interested in supporting immersive storytelling through animation, visual development, and scalable production workflows.
I bring over six years of experience at The Walt Disney Company, most recently as a CG Technical Director at Disney Television Animation, where I supported compositing and 3D production workflows across characters, props, lighting, effects, and pipeline scripting. Prior to that, I worked as a Character Technical Director at Walt Disney Animation Studios, focusing on cloth and hair simulation, rigging, technical animation, and tool development for feature film production. I began my career at Walt Disney Imagineering, contributing to robotics rigging and software-driven show systems for immersive themed experiences.
I’m currently seeking Technical Director and pipeline-focused roles in animation and VFX studios, with an emphasis on production tools, workflow systems, and scalable pipeline development.
Pipeline & Tool Development
I bridge the gap between artists and engineers across cross-disciplinary teams, developing pipeline tools and workflows that support production at scale. My work focuses on building intuitive, artist-friendly systems grounded in software engineering principles and production needs. I also have experience working beyond software, with an interest in hardware, robotics, and interactive systems.
Animation, VFX & Character Workflows
I have experience supporting character, shot, and visual effects workflows across feature animation and television production. My background includes compositing, technical animation, rigging, cloth and hair simulation, and workflow support for assets, lighting, effects, and final image development. I’m passionate about helping artists achieve strong visual storytelling through thoughtful technical solutions and production-ready workflows.
