Technical Artist | Technical Director | Creative Technologist
Hybrid artist-engineer working at the intersection of art and tech across animation, games, immersive entertainment, & real-time content creation. Experienced in character simulation, technical animation, artist-facing tools, production workflows, & interactive experiences.

Hi, I’m Sahar! I’m passionate about blending art and engineering to create immersive experiences that foster meaning, storytelling, and human connection.
With over six years of experience at The Walt Disney Company, I most recently worked as a CG Technical Director at Disney Television Animation, supporting 3D animation pipelines across characters, props, lighting, effects, compositing, and pipeline workflows. During this time, I worked extensively with compositing and shot-finaling workflows to support visual storytelling through final delivery.
Prior to that, I worked as a Character Technical Director at Walt Disney Animation Studios, focusing on cloth and hair simulation, tailoring, rigging, technical animation, and tool development for animated feature films. Earlier in my career, I worked as an Imagineer at Walt Disney Imagineering, contributing to animatronics, robotics rigging, production design, and software-driven show systems for immersive themed experiences in Disney parks around the world.
I hold a Master’s degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, with a focus on technical art and computer graphics, and a Bachelor of Science in DAS Engineering (a dual degree in computer science engineering and digital arts) from the University of Florida.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my corgi, crocheting, running, drawing, reading, writing, playing video games, building LEGO sets and puzzles, and hiking around Los Angeles.
